Morton Estate have been breeding registered Angus cattle since 1986, formally as Willsbro Angus.
We have had great success in the show ring along the Mid North Coast of NSW for many years, as well as at Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide Royal Shows. Willsbro bred cattle also performed successfully in hoof and hook competitions, and achieved high prices at stud sales for bulls, females and embryos. After the partnership dispersal, Phil and Wendy re-established themselves as Morton Estate and continue to breed high quality registered Angus cattle, but on a smaller scale.
In an effort to introduce a unique line to the herd, we arranged to flush two intensely linebred RR Rito 707 daughters in the US to leading sire DHD Traveler 6807, and imported the resulting embryos. The descendants of these flushes continue to feature heavily through the herd today. Morton Estate contunie to strive to produce an animal that calves easily, has a quiet temperament with well balanced EBVs across the board, without excessive frame size.
